Birds Bakery brings fresh new look to Sherwood
Birds Bakery has reopened its doors to shoppers in Sherwood following a major refurbishment.
It is the first makeover for the store on Mansfield Road in the heart of Sherwood in 20 years. The new look store features a purpose-built hot food counter serving food on the go, including sausage cobs and rolls filled with the roast of the day, as well as a new coffee offering from Nottingham’s own 200 Degrees.
The store was closed for a week while the refurbishment took place but welcomed back shoppers this week with its famous selection of fresh breads, cobs, cream cakes, savoury snacks, pies and chocolate treats.
Commenting on the new look, Mike Holling, Sales and Marketing Director at Birds Bakery, said:
“Our Sherwood store is looking fantastic and it’s been great to see the reaction of customers.
“This is the latest in our store renovation programme, which also saw Birds Bakery in Beeston receive a full makeover back in February.
“It’s important for us to continually invest in our stores so that shoppers get the best experience possible. At Sherwood, we now have a broader range of hot food available, as well as the popular 200 Degrees Coffee.
“Of course, it wouldn’t be Birds without our traditional family favourites and our new counter is jam packed with classics like Elephants Feet, Caramel Doughnuts, Blackcurrant Creams, Sausage Rolls, Lamb & Mint Slices and, of course, our famous dinner rolls.”
On the first day of reopening, Birds’ 2022 Easter range also proved popular with shoppers in Sherwood, featuring a range of themed products, including Belgian chocolate rabbits, chunky Easter lollipops, orange chocolate carrots and shortbread bunnies, as well as traditional hot cross buns and Simnel cake.
For those unable to make it into a store or wanting to order products to any part of the country either as a gift or for themselves, Birds Bakery goodies can also be ordered online using either the Birds By Post or Birds At Home delivery services.
