Job description

We have opportunities for experienced, full time or part time 7.5 tonne Drivers to join our Transport team based at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery.

You will be delivering Bird's freshly made produce to our shops and returning empty racks and cabinets to the Bakery.

Key responsibilities

• Load/unload vehicles; manual handling of rolling equipment and no hand balling involved.
• Ensure vehicle loads are safe and secured with the appropriate restraints as per Company procedures / Safe Systems of Work.
• Perform daily vehicle defect checks and log as necessary.

Full-time days of work are Monday to Saturday. Hours of work are 3.30am/4.00am – 11.00am/12.00pm.

Applicants must be of smart appearance, hold a C1 Licence, valid CPC Driver Qualification Card, Digi-Card and have a clean Driving Licence.

Also, ideally have good knowledge of the local area but this is not essential as full training will be provided. Immediate start is available.

4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays. Staff discount.

Hours: 42 p/w (Full time)

Rate: £588 p/w (Full time)
