Stores Operatives Apply now
We have a fantastic opportunity for Stores Operatives to join our Stores Department at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery. Reporting to the Stores Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with day to day running of goods in and weighing up ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Unloading deliveries using Reach FLT and other MHE
- Highlight delivery inaccuracies
- Putting away stock in the correct locations to required standards
- Picking and packing shop orders
- Supporting Bakery and Savoury staff with any ingredient requirements
- Weighing up ingredients as required by Bakery and Savoury departments
- Assist in Weekly/ Quarterly & Annual stock take
- Ensure actions are carried out as planned and completed within agreed timescales
- Fully comply with Food Safety and Health and Safety instructions
- To provide holiday/sickness cover as and when required
Skills Required
- Effective time management skills to achieve production targets within set timeframe and under pressure
- Good oral communication skills
Qualifications required
Essential:
o Reach FLT licence
Desirable (not essential as training can be provided)
o Banksman qualification
o Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate
There are two roles available, both are 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0500 – 1430, and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays. Staff discount.
Hours: 45 p/w
Rate: £514.80 p/w
