Assistant Shop Manager - Wollaton
Job Purpose To assist the Shop Manager and assume overall responsibility for the success of the shop in their absence. You will support the Shop Manager in all operational aspects of running the shop. You will ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. Issues must be dealt with as they arise rather than deferring them to the Manager. Reporting to the Supply Chain & Stock Control Manager you should have previous experience working within a food production organisation. This is a hands-on role that involves working within a small team to organise and maintain inventory accurately. Working to tight deadlines, you will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of ingredient storage and weighing off processes to pick and pack stock as per customer orders. You will participate in weekly and yearly stock takes; therefore, computer literacy is required as you will be regularly using stock management systems / software. Duties to include:

• Load / unload vehicles; manual handling of rolling equipment and no hand balling involved.
• Ensure vehicle loads are safe and secured with the appropriate restraints as per Company procedures / Safe Systems of Work.
• Perform daily vehicle defect checks and log as necessary.

Days of work are Monday to Saturday. Hours of work are 3.30am/4.00am to 11.00am/12.00pm, 42 hours per week.

Applicants must be of smart appearance, hold a C1 Licence, valid CPC Driver Qualification Card, Digi-Card and have a clean Driving Licence. Also, ideally have good knowledge of the local area but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
