Founded in 2013 by husband and wife team Hols and Krags, North Star was built to do business differently, through collaboration, care and long term thinking. Their responsible, transparent sourcing matches our own values, so every cup we serve has a positive impact from farm to bakery.

North Star is a certified B Corp, using business as a force for good. Their aim was never just to roast great coffee, but to build a fairer future for the industry through long term relationships, transparency and real impact across the supply chain.
Producer
Marcelo Montanari is a fourth generation coffee producer in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and one of North Star’s longest standing partners since 2014. From generating solar power to protecting more native habitat than the law requires, he proves everyday coffee can still make an impact.
