Purpose

We have a unique opportunity for a full time Butcher to join our Savoury department at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery.

Responsibilities

  • Processing primal cuts of meat for sausage, pork pies and sausage rolls
  • Operating sausage filler
  • Operating bowl chopper
  • Cooking and preparing fillings for pies and pasties
  • Operating mincer and dicer

Shifts

The role is 45 hours per week, working a day shift starting at 5am.
The role will require working 1 in 5 Saturdays to support our 7 day operation.

Experience

  • Experience in sausage production, along with experience working in a high care/cooked meat environment
  • A positive, flexible attitude and to be able to work under pressure without compromising quality or safety
  • The ability to work to a high standard in an efficient, clean and tidy manner, observing the highest food hygiene guidelines to meet strict despatch deadline

Qualifications

The selection process will involve a block test and interview

Benefits

4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays. Staff discount.
